Hit and Run Fatality Public's Asistance Requested

On Thursday, October 20, 2016 at approximately 7:05pm the Eden Police Department was dispatched to 323 East Meadow Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash, hit and run fatality.

Tiano Dupree Casey (44) was operating a 2014 Bashan moped traveling east on Meadow Road. A white older model passenger car traveling at a high rate of speed, also traveling east, ran into the back of Casey.  The older model white passenger car fled the scene continuing east on Meadow Road. Tiano Casey died at the scene as a result of the crash.

The Eden Police Department is currently looking for an older model white passenger vehicle with heavy front end damage to the headlight(s), bumper, grill and parking light(s).  The Eden Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating any vehicle matching the description that has any of the above mentioned damage. 

 

The Eden Fire Department, North Carolina Highway Patrol and Eden Rescue Squad assisted in the investigation.
