On Friday, July 11, 2014 at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Eden Police
Department initiated Phase 1 of Operation Firecracker. Operation Firecracker began in November 2013
as a joint undercover operation by the Eden Police Department and the North
Carolina State Bureau of Investigation targeting street level drug dealers in
the Eden area. During the nine-month
operation, the Special Operations Division of the Eden Police Department was
able to identify and purchase narcotics from 43 dealers in the Eden area for a
total of 79 cases and 155 charges as a result of Grand Jury Indictments.
The Eden Police Department requested the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Reidsville
Police Department, Madison Police Department, Mayodan Police Department,
Stoneville Police Department and the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office to
assist in locating and serving the indictments due to the large number of
defendants in this operation.
These individuals have been charged with the following crimes as a
result of Phase 1 of Operation Firecracker:
Lisa Duggins 43
years old
Shawn StreetEden, North Carolina
Lisa Duggins was arrested and charged with Sell/deliver SCH II,
Possession with intent to sell or deliver SCH II, Sell/deliver SCH IV,
Possession with intent to sell or deliver SCH IV, Sell/deliver SCH III,
Possession with intent to sell or deliver SCH III. Duggins was transported to the Rockingham County Jail and was
placed under a $25,000 secured bond. Duggins is
scheduled to appear in Rockingham County Superior Court on August 18, 2014.

Percell Adams was arrested and charged with
3 counts of Sell/deliver SCH II and Possession with intent to sell or deliver
SCH II controlled substance. Adams was transported to the Rockingham County
Jail and was placed under a $25,000 secured bond. Adams
is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County Superior Court on August 18, 2014.
