Identification Assistance Requested for Attempted Robbery Suspect

On Saturday, August 17, 2013 at approximately 7:00am, the Eden Police Department received a call from Petty’s Mini Mart located at 501 Morgan Road, Eden, North Carolina in reference to an attempted armed robbery.   
 

Upon arrival officers spoke with the clerk and reviewed the video surveillance from the store.  A white male in dark colored clothing entered the store with a knife and demanded money and attempted to pull the cash register off the counter.  The suspect left the store after the attempt and fled area on foot.  
 

The Eden Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance identifying the suspect in the photos attached. 
 

Anyone having information concerning the suspect in the attempted armed robbery of Petty’s Mini Mart is asked to call Detective William East at Eden Police Department at 336-623-9755 (24hr) or 336-623-9240 (Office).  Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can also call Rockingham County Crimestoppers at 336-349-9683.
