For release June 23, 2013 

On Sunday morning, June 23, 2013, at approximately 5:15am, the Eden Police Department received a 911 call from the J Mart #3 located at 904 Virginia Ave. in reference to an armed robbery.  Officers responded to the J Mart and spoke with the clerk on duty.  The clerk stated that a black male came into the store and pointed a black handgun at her and demanded the money from the cash register. The suspect then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.  A short time later, Officer David Stepps and Detective David Lamberth were conducting a canvass of the neighborhood and located the suspect, Reginald Gerald Wilson, walking on Friendly  Road.  Officer Stepps and Detective Lamberth arrested Wilson for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Wilson was charged with Robbery with a dangerous Weapon and transported to the Wentworth Magistrates Office where he was placed into the Rockingham County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.  Wilson is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on July 10, 2013.  Wilson was also served with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for arrest for simple assault.
