For Release November 25, 2015
On Friday, November 20, 2015, an agent with
the Federal Bureau of Investigation and an Eden Police Department detective
boarded a flight to Bangkok, Thailand to escort Mickey Dale Snow to the United
States.
On Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at
approximately 3:30pm, Mickey Dale Snow arrived in North Carolina. Mickey Snow
was indicted by a Rockingham County Grand Jury on October 5, 2015 for six
counts of Statutory Sex Offense and six counts of Patronizing a Prostitute.
Eden Police detectives attempted to
locate Snow after the warrants were secured. Eden Detectives learned that Mickey
Snow traveled to Bangkok, Thailand. Once the Grand Jury of Rockingham County
issued indictments for Snow, the Eden Police Department requested the
assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (Greensboro Office). Snow was tracked to several countries to
include Amsterdam, Panama and Thailand.
Once Snow returned to Thailand, agents and detectives worked closely
with the United States Attorney’s Office in the Middle District of North
Carolina and Federal Bureau of Investigation. State Department Special Agent
Nickolas Mason, Regional Security Officer and Joy Prasittimakul the United
States State Department Thai law enforcement liaison assisted Eden detectives
and agents with locating and arrested Snow in Thailand.
Mickey Snow was taken into custody by
Thai police in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 3, 2015 on a federal arrest
warrant for “Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution.” He was being held in
an immigration detention facility awaiting extradition back to the United
States.
The arrest of Snow in Thailand was the
result of many agencies working together.
The agencies that assisted in locating and arresting Snow include the
Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Middle
District of North Carolina, the State Department and the Royal Thai Police in
Thailand.
Detectives with the Eden Police
Department and FBI escorted Snow from a North Carolina airport back to the Eden
Police Department for processing before being transported to the Wentworth
Magistrates Office for service of the Grand Jury indictments.
Mickey Snow was transported to the
Wentworth Magistrates Office where he received a $25 Million Secured Bond and
is scheduled to have a first appearance in Wentworth on November 30, 2015.
