Eden PD Investigating Hit & Run (Serious Injury)--Request Public Assistance

The Eden Police Department is currently investigating a hit and run involving personal injury.  The hit and run occurred near the intersection of Cedar Street and Irving Ave on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at approximately 11:35pm.  The victim, Gilberto Rubio (38) of Irving Ave. in Eden was crossing Irving Ave, near the intersection of Cedar Street, when he was struck by a vehicle.  The vehicle was traveling east on Irving Ave. toward Hamilton Street and is described as a dark colored SUV with four doors.  The victim in this case was transported Baptist Medical Center. The Eden Police Department is requesting the assistance of the public in this case.  The vehicle could have sustained moderate to severe damage to the front area of the vehicle including head lights, grill, plastic parts on the front of the vehicle, hood, turn signal lights and quarter panels.
