On Thursday, March 20, 2014 at approximately 4:00am, officers with the
Eden Police Department and Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office found business’
on Washington Street had been vandalized. The suspect(s) spray painted
different locations with red spray paint.
Officers began to canvass the
neighborhood and look for other victims of the vandalism. Officers found the
mural at the intersection of Henry Street and Washington Street vandalized, as
well as several vehicles at David Price Auto Works, located on Monroe Street.
Skylar Dix has been charged with twenty (20) counts of Injury to Real
Property. Dix was transported to the
Wentworth Magistrates Office where he was placed into the Rockingham County
Jail under a $5000.00 secured bond. Dix
is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on May 19, 2014.
At this time the investigation is continuing. Officers and investigators have identified
other victims of vandalism and charges are pending on the remaining incidents.
