On Friday, April 22, 2016, at approximately 4:30pm, officers with the
Eden Police Department were dispatched by Rockingham County Ccom to Carter Bank
and Trust located at 630 Fagge Drive in reference to an armed robbery.
The suspect is described as a 6 foot tall male, with a dark complexion,
wearing a white t-shirt, green coat described as a winter coat, black jeans,
blue and white tennis shoes and a navy blue ski mask. The suspect fled the bank on foot and ran to
the Wendy’s parking lot to a waiting vehicle. The suspect jumped into a newer
model cream colored or beige compact sport utility vehicle and fled traveling
south on Van Buren Road, with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
Anyone having information concerning the suspect in the armed robbery
of Carter Bank and Trust is asked to call Sergeant David Lamberth at Eden
